STILBAAI NEWS – A wildfire broke out earlier Wednesday afternoon, 9 March in the Wild Rescue reserve, next to a cottage at Klipfontein, Stilbaai. The cottage was subsequently destroyed by the fire.
Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM) Fire Services was requested to assist with battling the blaze that also spiralled out of control.
Aerial resources were activated immediately through the Provincial Disaster Management Centre, as several other structures were also in danger.
